For as long as I can remember, trees have struck a chord with me. It was only after ten years as an energy engineer that I took the plunge and trained in cabinetmaking techniques in 2010, with the aim of designing and making furniture. After spending some time in an old cabinetmaking firm, I set up a workshop with other cabinetmakers in the Paris region. At first, I created one-off pieces directly for my customers, then a line of seating and lighting in small series for galleries. Above all, my aim is to reveal the beauty of this magnificent material, wood. Initially influenced by the primitive arts, it is the techniques, materials and lines of the Art Deco period that have shaped my inspiration.
