Parc de Matecoulon

Castle in Montpeyroux
  • The Château de Matecoulon dates from the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries and is a listed historic monument for its facades and roofs. The rest of the château, the outbuildings and the park are listed. Visit the 3-hectare park only. The romantic park features ornamental buildings - known as "fabriques" - set among a variety of trees, including an Osage orange tree. Crossing the château opens onto a staircase created in 1800, the special feature of which is that it is self-supporting.
