Dating from the 17th century, this altarpiece may have come from the Château de Montaignac, according to some sources, or the Château de Maumont, according to others. In fact, it was cut down in width and height to fit into the church choir. Restored in the 1950s, it is made of carved and gilded walnut wood. In the lower part, four statues are set in cornices: St John the Evangelist, St Joseph, and two bishops. The middle section features a resurrected Christ. The sides, arranged in a receding plane, are adorned with two statues of monks (St. Francis of Assisi and St. Anthony).
