1. Maison Bordas, Le Mas

François Bordas was born in the village of Le Mas on May 5, 1839, the son of Jacques Bordas and Catherine Eygueperse, who were part of a long line of their family that had lived on these lands. He married Antoinette Vari%E9ras %E0 Davignac on January 25, 1864. This attachment to the land was perpetuatedby François, who, due to his work as a merchant, left it only for two trips a year—in the spring and fall—to northern France and Belgium.
