Le?onard Marouby was born on December 1, 1881 in Les Combettes, Meymac Meymac, son of Jean and Marie Brette. He married Françoise Peyrat from the village of Lestrade on July 14, 1906 in Meymac Meymac. He started out as a farmer and cloth peddler, before becoming a wine merchant after the 1914 war. His clientele, which he visited by car, was located in the Nord and Pas de Calais regions. In 1930, he built a house in Meymac in the Meymac in the Panazol district.
