Simon Terrioux was born in? Combressol on April 10, 1877, the son of Enclodignon village farmers Antoine Terrioux and Catherine Borie. After obtaining his school-leaving certificate at the age of 11, he went to work for an itinerant canvas merchant. He later became a wine merchant, traveling throughout northern France and Belgium. He stopped visiting his customers in 1960, after training his son Jean-Baptiste. He built a house in the Panazol district of Meymac Meymac around 1926.
