François Mazaud, born in the village of Le Vert on July 14, 1856, married Marie Françoise Brette du Maschevalier on October 14, 1882. After a period as a pit-sawyer, he became a wine merchant in addition to his farming activities. He traveled throughout the North of France and Belgium, notably to? Brussels, where he supplied, among others, the famous Chez Le?on brewery. In the Lachenal district of? Les Chambrettes?, which was completed in 1905.
