Description

Jean Chal was born on December 7, 1852 in the village of Calary Saint-Angel in the village of Calary Meymac on June 14, 1879 to Marie Gratadour from the village of Che?zes. At the beginning of the 1880s, he was associated with the Tounissoux brothers from Corre?ze and P. Ge?ny from Limoges, and had a winery in Talence-pre?s-Bordeaux Talence-pre?s-Bordeaux. Around 1912, Jean Chal had a house built in the Prairie district of Meymac; the initials ?J C? stand for Jean Chal on the ironwork of the front door. On February 8, 1900, his daughter Marie Chal married Jean Dedenis, also a merchant, born on August 24, 1869 in the village of Nouailles in the Meymac commune. The couple lived in the house.
