Description
Marc Antoine Chastre (1845-1913) was a farmer in Loussine, Combressol Loussine, Combressol, and wife of Marie Banette (1848-1898), a native of Tarnac, before going into the wine trade like many other farmers in the area. On May 31, 1891, he bought a small house and its grounds in the La Prairie district by auction at the Ussel court. In the following years, he built a large house with a staircase tower. On his business letters, Marc Antoine Chastre reproduced his house, christened Château de Lagadie, and fictitiously surrounded it with two wine storehouses on either side and a vineyard at the rear.
