Description

Le?onard Luc (1879-1962), a native of Saint-Germain-le-Lie?vre, married Marie Borzeix (1884-1956), the daughter of farmers from La Jarrige, in 1908. While cultivating his in-laws' farm, he became involved in the wine trade, traveling to Belgium and Switzerland. His brother, François Luc (1876-), was undoubtedly the family's first wine merchant, traveling to Belgium before canvassing the South of France and Spain. It was Léonard Luc who built a house on the La Jarrige property in 1928. Discover other wine merchants' houses in Meymac-près-Bordeaux on the "Houses in the town" discovery tour.
