Among the children of Le?onard Neige (1821-1902) and Jeanne Roudeix (1832-1880), farmers in the village of Les Che?zes, three boys practiced farming and three girls founded wine merchant families. Pierre Neige (1855-1925), the second of the children, was born on January 14, 1855, and married Marguerite Monange on October 3, 1885 at Mazie?re Basse. He built a bourgeois house in the Audy district, completed in 1893. His clientele must have been mainly Belgian, as the comment on a postcard of the Neige d'Audy boat suggests: "a gift from the Belgians". After his death in 1925, the house was taken over by his nephew Jean Cloup (1878-1946), who was also a wine negociant and wife of Marie Gratadour (1888-1964)
