Description

Charles Besse (1876-1907), son of Antoine Besse and Marie Masrand, was born in Bort-les-Orgues on February 16, 1876 Bort-les-Orgues. He married Jeanne Sauger in Meymac on December 26, 1907 Meymac with Jeanne Saugeras (1883-1956), daughter of a wine merchant and farmer from the village of La Vialle. He also became a wine merchant, taking over the business of his father-in-law, Jean-Baptiste Saugeras (1853-). Domiciled in Margaux for business purposes, he travelled until 1939, mainly in Belgium. On the picture: a? Lie?ge in 1931 with a client. He built a house in Meymac, at Quatre-Routes, while retaining ownership of La Vialle.
