Noe?l Estrade was born on April 17, 1862 in the village of Beynette in Ambrugeat, the son of Jean Estrade and Catherine Gratadour. Mobilized in 1882 in a Zouave regiment, he served in the Tunisian campaign. De-mobilized in 1889, he married Marie Besse on November 18, 1890 in Meymac Meymac. He borrowed a sum of gold from his father-in-law and set off as a wine merchant. He canvassed northern France and Belgium. In 1899, he bought a property in Barsac Barsac, consisting of a manor house, buildings used as winery and a vineyard, the cha?teau Moura. In 1927, he built a house in Meymac Meymac in the Jassonneix district. Discover other wine merchants? houses in Meymac-près-Bordeaux on the "Houses in the town" discovery tour.
