Jean Montlouis was born on April 7, 1870, the son of Jean-Baptiste Montlouis and Marie Janoueix, farmers at Malaurent in Saint-Germain-Lavolps Saint-Germain-Lavolps. He was already a ne?gociant on November 24, 1894, when he married Marie Gasparoux in Meymac Meymac Marie Gasparoux, daughter of Antoine Gasparoux (1846-), wine merchant and farmer from the village of Lachaud Lestang. Father-in-law and son-in-law set up a winery and house in Margaux Margaux a winery and business premises to serve other wine merchants, notably the Corre?ziens. It was probably Jean Montlouis, rather than his father-in-law, who built the Panazol house in Meymac, close to the Gasparoux de Lachaud family farm. Antoinette Montlouis, Jean's daughter, married Margaux Jean Nony in 1924 Margaux Jean Nony (1895-1975), a wine merchant, who in turn occupied the Panazol house.
