Description
In my Art?Illium workshop, I create handcrafted saddlery, leather goods and trunks. Here, I design objects made to last, to be used, passed on, sometimes even repaired rather than replaced. I like to think that a beautiful object is not just beautiful: it also has to be right, solid, and discreet when it needs to be.
Each leather has its own character, each project its own rhythm, and I try never to rush either of them?even if, let's be honest, leather sometimes has the last word.
My work lies somewhere between tradition and the present. I respect ancient gestures while remaining attentive to today?s customs. For me, modernity is not a rupture, but a calm continuity, made up of simple choices, sober lines and meticulous finishes.
