Description

He sculpts, he carves, he shapes... metal, scrap metal, wood, any material that comes to life between his fingers: masks like totems, strange silhouettes, fantastic animals, phantasmagorical machines that squeak and creak. Born in Segala, Louis de Verdal is a unique artist, and he says he is a self-taught man of all kinds, who drinks, smokes and reads San Antonio. Humour, poetry, tenderness, you can find it in spades in the works he exhibits. And here he is now sketching: after Saint Céré, Louis devotes a sketchbook to Rocamadour. Drawings that he presents like stories, with his very particular look.
