Description
Sorges-Ligueux in Périgord : besides the town, the commune is composed of old villages or hamlets, as well as places crossed during this hike. The return is done by the outline of the abbey of Ligueux which is made up of many vestiges. Before the Revolution, it played an important educational role for young girls from good families. The abbey of Ligueux was founded at the beginning of the XIIth century by Géraud de Sales to shelter a congregation of Benedictine nuns.
