Description

Château de Saint-Germain stands at the mouth of a valley in the Dropt valley, descending from the northern plateau where the long-gone Château de Bonneville once stood. Its purpose was clearly to command this important traffic point in this region of wooded, scrubby plateaus. Advanced fortress of Château de Biron, whose function was to monitor and control traffic in the Dropt valley. 14th, 15th and 16th century architecture. Outdoor tour of the château (walk).
