Between hills and valleys, the Soudaine, a small trout river, will be your travelling companion for much of your tour.
The grandson of Archambaud de Comborn, known as "le barbu" (the bearded one), received the King of France?s agreement to fortify the château in 1485. The remains of the château, including the chapel, were destroyed by fire in 1924. The Combe d'Enval, home to the river Soudaine, takes its name from the small village of Enval.
