The Micoque archaeological deposit is the oldest site in the Vézère Valley and a fundamental element in our understanding of the beginning of the Paleolithic. Its stratigraphy is nearly 10 m / 32 ft high and covers more than 300,000 years of chronology. The site is a listed historic monument.
