Heritage Days: Scavenger Hunt “On the Right Track—In the Shoes of a Railroad Worker”

Discover the history of the local rail network through an immersive scavenger hunt in the heart of the Niversac train station, at the Fanal site, home to the Grand Périgueux Intermunicipal Tourist Office. Work as a team to take on the roles of 20th-century railroad workers and complete a series of challenges to get your train moving, all while adapting to the realities of the era. From the introduction of steam trains to today’s regional express trains (TERs), explore the railroad heritage and discover how railway lines and their uses have evolved. A fun activity that combines observation, cooperation, and discovery, to be enjoyed as part of the European Heritage Days in the Grand Périgueux region. Duration: 45 min to 1 hr. Free.
