A public park, the Garden of Vesuvius is located in a major archaeological area. It partly covers a sanctuary of the 2nd century AD of considerable dimensions. It consists of a belt of linden trees, yew trees, boxwood groves, plane trees, beeches, Ginkgo Biloba oaks, a variety of acacias, Gleditschia Trachantos.
