On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Périgueux-Bassillac airport will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a weekend of activities organized by EDEIS in partnership with the French Aeronautical Federation.
Inaugurated in 1936, the airport is an integral part of the history of Périgueux and its territory and constitutes a living heritage that reflects the evolution of aviation in Dordogne.
This anniversary will be an opportunity for the public to discover this heritage, its history, its facilities, its activities, and the women and men who bring it to life. On the program, exhibitions, presentations and activities from 9am to 6pm.
Aircraft will be present on the ground and several family activities will complete the program, including an exhibition of vintage vehicles and competition and air baptisms offered by partner flying clubs.
