In 1990, Pierre LORTHOLARY set up his own business, producing veal calves. In 2000, in order to expand his business, he decided to move into apple tree production. In 2012, his business took a turn for the better, and he switched to a grazer workshop. In 2022, he was joined by Cécile LORTHOLARY. The GAEC LA TROCHOISE was born! They are now two partners and own more than 87 ha of UAA, including 6.5 ha of apple trees and 0.5 ha of pear trees, and 65 Limousin dams (grazers, breeding stock and direct beef sales). Four generations of Corréziens farmers, their main motivation is to defend and perpetuate their agriculture. Various raw and processed products, sold at fairs (Cantal), supermarkets (Corrèze, Lot, Puy de Dome, Cantal) and on farms.
