Description

La Turgotière is the road established by Turgot, Intendant of Limousin and Minister of Finance under Louis XVI, to facilitate East-West trade, i.e. between Limoges and Bort-les-Orgues. He is said to have often slept in the monastery, in the wing now occupied by the Centre d?Art Contemporain, where the upper floors were reserved for important people.
