Description

Born into a family that has been working with wood for three generations, Jean-Luc first practiced with European woods (chestnut, ash, beech, etc.), before spending twenty years in French Guiana, where he discovered Amazonian species in the industrial sector. He moved to Lembras at the end of 2021 and began his current activity: enhancing what nature provides. His work focuses on the colors, graining, reflections and shapes of wood, and he offers decorative and utilitarian objects, as well as commissions. Jean-Luc sources PEFC-certified wood from Guyana and dries it on site in Lembras, to achieve the ideal level of humidity for use in mainland France.
