Description
When you arrive, push open the door of the church under the patronage of St-Martial.
Nearby, you'll find the Calvary and the Monument aux Morts.
Le Tilleul de Sully: damaged by the storm of 1999, no longer standing today. A lime tree was replanted opposite the church in 2017.
Other curiosities :
- the "Mont Gibaud stone": this oval monolith has been present in Montgibaud for centuries. Perhaps this stone was used as an altar for ancient rites or sacrifices?
- the ruins of Château de Lhortolary, a former noble residence, and Château de la Joubertie (17th century), former residence of the Lords of Montgibaud (privately owned).
- the Pelateau viewpoint, 100 m from the church in the direction of Benayes: you can see the towns of Lubersac and Pompadour, with a 180° view of the Limousin countryside.
