Description
The museum is housed in the family home of resistance fighter and statesman Edmond Michelet (1899-1970). Its field of study and collections relate to the Second World War, the Resistance and the Deportation, in France and in Corrèze. The museum boasts a major collection of propaganda posters, which have become a distinctive feature of its heritage, with a permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions. The museum is open to the general public and schools, and its documentation and archive center is available for research into its field of study.
The museum also organizes guided tours of its temporary exhibitions and workshops for children throughout the year.
It takes part in the European Museum Night in May and the European Heritage Days in September.
