For me, creativity must avoid compartmentalization. My approach to abstraction is in perpetual evolution, each series a research project. Step by step, each work is built up over time, layer upon layer. A discussion is created between the different planes, each plane attempting to freeze an ephemeral state, each unfinished stratum completing itself in a whole. The result is a fragile balance, both visual and necessarily emotional. Ultimately, my works have an existence of their own, which escapes me, and which is constructed in parallel with a conscious will.
