Description

In 1681, the parish priest commissioned a tabernacle, but by 1684, the work had still not been delivered. Three statues (Christ on the Cross, St. Augustine and St. Roch), the large frame with twists and foliage and the cherub heads, are the surviving elements of the altarpiece commissioned from Pierre Duhamel in 1681. It is likely that paintings or sculptures surrounded Christ. The high altarpiece supports three imposing wooden statues. The present tabernacle and panelled altarpiece date from the late 18th century.
