La Palanquière is a quiet camp site located midway between La Rivière and the village of Vayrac (1300 inhabitants). There are many places of interest to visit within a radius of 30 km: Rocamadour, Padirac (Chasm), Carennac, Collonges la Rouge, Martel, Saint-Céré, Autoire (village and waterfall), Castelnau Castle, one of the mightiest fortresses of southern France, and Montal Castle (Renaissance).
