Cyrano is poetry, insolence, independence, insubordination, the refusal to compromise and the hope that a better world is possible, a kind of ideal of being and thinking. But above all, Cyrano is a troupe play. Nine actors portray forty characters in a staging "as if they were playing Cyrano", like children trying to tell a story.
