In 1937, the municipality decided to create a garden as an extension to the fountain: the ensemble comprises a courtyard-terrace, a pond and a fountain. The reinforced concrete courtyard is decorated with a mosaic of earthenware fragments (on the platform) and two pillars sculpted by Proszynsky. They depict a peasant woman lifting a little girl holding books in her arms, and a peasant man supporting a boy as he reaches for the fruits of knowledge. This is an allegory of Education.
