Romain, a 30-year-old epicurean winemaker, decided to challenge himself in 2014: take over Château Haut Bernasse, a 14-ha property, and develop an organic agriculture. It has 11 ha of white (sémillon, muscadelle, white and grey sauvignon) and 3 ha of red (cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc).
He grows these 35-year-old vines traditionally, with grassing and ploughed rows, for the purpose of making quality wines on this exceptional land.
