This collegiate church is dedicated to St. Martin (known as the Spaniard), one of the city's three patron saints. It was built in the 12th century, in the shape of a Latin cross, on top of remains from the 5th century. The transept, the octagonal dome on pendentives, part of the chevet and an exceptional group of historiated capitals in the choir all date from this medieval period.
