Discovered in 1825 and adapted for visitors in 1922, the Presque Caves possess an uninterrupted series of concretions in all kinds of shapes and of varying colours, all enhanced by electric lighting. As well as these concretions, there are many 8 to 10 m high stalagmitic columns, of which some, known as the "Cierges" (candles), are very fine and slender.
