
Set up near the hills in the middle of the countryside, northeast of the faubourg Saint-Georges, following the decree of May 11, 1901. It brought in a thousand military personnel, a real economic lung for the town.
The construction of the buildings led to controversy over the choice of location and the discovery of the foundations of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct. The Lux cinema, the Congrégation des Petites Soeurs des Pauvres (Little Sisters of the Poor) established in 1868, and the town's urban transformations are also mentioned.
