Engravings and prints
It was during my art studies in Brittany that I discovered the different printing techniques. Since then, I like to say that I "make" images: soft etchings, etchings, drypoints?
I create prints that are slowly and meticulously combined with drawings, glued papers and sometimes a few words. These are limited editions of 80 copies maximum. Sometimes they are one-off pieces, all hand-printed in my studio.
I try to give a narrative character to my work, putting into it what I observe of the living world; human, vegetable, animal, little everyday banalities. I compile these pieces of paper as I turn pages, fixing memories in the hollows of the engravings.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10.30am to 6pm, April to October, and by appointment the rest of the year.
