The small chapel of St. Roch certainly dates back to the end of the 16th or 17th century, as we find no mention of it in documents from the 15th and early 16th centuries. We know that an epidemic of plague raged in our sector in the 1630's. A book of reason of a small lord of the close corrèze notes that in May 1630 the plague raged in the surroundings of yssandon and Ayen where it decimated whole villages. Badefol is also affected by the epidemic in 1631 but the village itself was preserved...
