The route offers a mix of orchards, meadows, forest and stream. View on the hills bordering the Dordogne (Hautefort castle), then wide panorama from the north to the limestone hills of Ayen and Saint Robert in the south. Then down to the stream and up into the forest. The walk can be extended by a stroll through the streets of Juillac among the characterful houses with slate roofs.
