This variant 1 of the circuit Puy de la Lizière, proposes 4.5 km around Magnat l'Etrange, the Puy du Couteau. Notice at the beginning the configuration of the village of Magnat, characteristic of a medieval village : situated on the slopes of a small hillock, overhanging the Rozeille river, the village is dominated by a castle (of modest size and reshaped in the 19th century) to which the church, which could date from the 10th or 11th century, is adjacent.
