Greatness, cleanliness of the undergrowth, softness of the foliage, the beech forest never leaves the walkers indifferent. The beech trees sometimes exceed 20m in height and give the impression of a forest cathedral, with the shafts as pillars, the crown as the vault, and the black woodpecker, the marten or the Tengmalm's owl as faithful visitors to this particularly rich forest environment.
