Tristan and Isolde are in love with each other. However, Isolde must marry the King of Cornwall. Thinking they are drinking a deadly potion, they actually swallow a powerful love potion concocted by Brangäne, which fuels the already burning flame of their passion. Wagner revisited the legend of Tristan to create a musical drama filled with romanticism. The electrifying soprano Lise Davidsen takes on the supreme role of Princess Isolde in a new production.
The Confluence des Arts et des Savoirs association is offering nine selections from the Metropolitan Opera as part of its HD-Live broadcasts for the 2025-2026 season, as well as an evening tribute to Maria Callas.
