15 km from Montignac and Lascaux, the forty harmoniums gathered in the church of Bars constitute the astonishing Harmonium Museum. Before entering the Romanesque church, admire the bell-tower-wall which is remarkable for its four openings designed to accommodate the bells, two large and two smaller ones.
Inside the museum, the collection is unique in France. Harmoniums made by the greatest 19th century makers, including Alexandre, Debain and Mustel, are exhibited. It is even possible to play some of the instruments.
