For this exceptional evening, the choreographer has decided to retrace his steps
through three masterpieces that have shaped his style. Annonciation
(1995), or the announcement of her future maternity to the Virgin Mary by the Archangel
Gabriel, is a piece for two dancers whose sensuality emerges from the highly stylized
movements. In contrast, Un trait d'union (1989), a piece for two
dancers, highlights the power and tension of
the quest for the other. The trilogy closes with Larmes blanches (1985), in which
two baroque couples tear each other apart with virtuosity.
