The cathedral, protected as a Monument Historique since 1840, and fundamentally restored throughout the second half of the 19th century, is an early example of protected and enhanced heritage in the heart of the city. From its heights, the tour offers an exceptional view of the old town, which has been protected since 1970 and is now an outstanding heritage site, as well as an insight into how the contemporary town is evolving.
