The sacred feminine on display at Trélissac Town Hall
A young visual artist trained in medieval art history, Armelle Montauriol has developed a unique universe, somewhere between a cabinet of curiosities and symbolic reverie. Her taste for antique objects and stories from the past feeds into her sensitive work, built around memory and femininity. Through these associations of objects and stories, the artist crafts what she calls her ‘Petits Mondes’ (Little Worlds), delicate and meticulous works that invite observation and introspection.
The exhibition also features portraits of women painted in acrylic on collages of old books. These creations explore the many facets of femininity, between strength, mystery and gentleness.
This exhibition is part of the City's cultural programme and can be viewed during the Town Hall's opening hours.
