Main construction in the 16th century. In the 13th century, the de Veilhan de Penacors family built a fortified castle flanked by four large towers, of which only ruins remain today. The fortress was abandoned by the family in the 16th century in favor of a more comfortable townhouse (Hôtel Saint-Mexant). The tower features a pepperbox housing a spiral staircase, with windows framed by pilasters, lintels and molded sills. The pilasters of the entrance door are fluted and surmounted by capitals with Ionic scrolls. The pediment of this elaborate door frames an escutcheon. In an inner courtyard, the start of a second, square tower can be made out. Next to the tower is a former chapel whose opening is topped by a classical entablature. Private property,
